The Walk was organized by the Committee to Combat Religious Intolerance (CCIR), with institutional support from the National Human Rights Movement, Legal Project, Tortura Nunca Mais Group, and the Public Ministry. With the motto “Religious Freedom. I have faith! ”, the demonstration gathered on Copacabana beachside about 10,000 people representing different religions, human rights activists, as well as intellectuals, artists, and political representatives, to draw attention to religious intolerance in Brazil.
