Pictured, Mother Beata of Yemanja (left). Celebration of Hope. Vigil organized by Female Planet on Copacabana Beach that ended with the reveille at dawn. The party started at midnight and featured theater presentations, performances by artists on stilts, maracatu and musical presentations. At dawn, a group of mães de santo (holy mothers of shamanic religions), led by Mother Beata of Yemanja, made offerings to Yemanja at the seashore.
