The NGO Forum was held in the city of Huairou, located at about 60 km from Beijing, from 30th August to 8th September, 1995.  Over twelve days, about 30,000 people, of which 554 Brazilian women, the largest delegation from Latin America,  took part in the Forum's activities, which included lectures, debates, workshops, marches and cultural events.
