The First National Conference of Gays, Lesbians, Bisexuals, Transvestites and Transsexuals (GLBT), held from 5th to 8th of June, aiming at developing public policies for the segment and a national plan to promote citizenship and LGBT rights. During the Conference, lesbian and activist groups gathered to claim for a change in the name used by the movement, from GLBT to LGBT, the worldwide recognized term.
