The National Pact to Combat Violence Against Women was launched in August 2007, as part of the Federal Government's Social Agenda. It consisted of a federative agreement, between the federal government and the governments of Brazilian states and municipalities, for the planning of actions that would consolidate the National Policy for Fighting Violence against Women, through the implementation of integrated public policies throughout the national territory.
