III World Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance

Demonstration against the Brazilian government, demanding the implementation of affirmative action policies in Brazil, organized by Brazilian delegates at the conference. The Conference, held in Durban, between August 31 and September 8, brought together more than 2,500 representatives from 170 countries, including 16 heads of state, about 4,000 representatives of 450 non-governmental organizations and over 1,300 journalists. In all, 18,810 people from all over the world attended the Conference.
