Protesters carrying babies in slings demonstrated against Bill (PL) 5,069, proposed by Congressman Eduardo Cunha, which aimed to restrict access to legal abortion for women who are victims of rape. The demonstrations, which brought together thousands of women across Brazil, were organized through social media, heralding a new model of feminist cyber-activism known as the "Women's Spring." In the background, a sign reads, "Motherhood is a choice – free womb."
